Terms of Service

01Acceptance

By accessing Workbench, entering the Playbook, creating a MatchLab account or enrolling in a plan, you confirm that you are at least 13 years old, have read these Terms and agree to them. If you enrol on behalf of an organisation such as an academy, you confirm you have authority to bind it.

02The services

• Analyst Playbook. Guided setup, prompts and questions for investigating cricket evidence with CricketStudio. Open to everyone.
• MatchLab. Ball-by-ball match analysis and training tools, session tracking and scoring, academy cohort management and seat-based plans.
• CricketStudio evidence. Access to the CricketStudio data corpus for analytical purposes.

The Playbook is open to everyone and MatchLab is in UAT. We may modify, suspend or discontinue any feature with reasonable notice. Material changes to paid features will be notified at least 14 days ahead.

03Accounts and access

MatchLab access is by one-time email codes. You are responsible for the security of your registered email address and must not share access outside your enrolled seat. Each academy seat is for one named individual. Sharing seats or pooling credentials is a material breach.

04Subscriptions and billing (MatchLab)

• Plans are billed monthly or annually, as chosen at enrolment. Annual plans are billed in full at the start of each billing year.
• Individual plans include a free trial where offered. Trials convert to paid unless cancelled before they end.
• You can cancel at any time. Access continues to the end of the current billing period, with no partial refunds for unused time.
• We may change prices with 30 days' notice. Existing subscribers keep their rate for the rest of their billing cycle.

05Analysis, not advice

Workbench helps you investigate cricket evidence and practise judgment. It does not replace your own judgment. Nothing in the Playbook or MatchLab is coaching, selection, medical, financial or betting advice, or a professional endorsement. Data reflects recorded match conditions and is limited by its sources. Check the window, sample and canonical source of any figure before relying on it, and remember that small samples do not establish patterns.

06Third-party assistants

The Playbook shows how to use CricketStudio with assistants such as Claude, ChatGPT and Gemini. Those services have their own terms and we do not control what they return. An answer that does not cite a CricketStudio source should not be treated as CricketStudio evidence.

07Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Scrape, copy or systematically extract data or content from Workbench.
• Use the services to train, fine-tune or build competing AI or analytical models without written consent.
• Reverse-engineer or circumvent any part of the platform.
• Upload malicious code or spam, or content that breaks the law.
• Impersonate other users, players or CricketStudio personnel.
• Share your MatchLab account or seat.

08Intellectual property

CricketStudio keeps all rights in Workbench, the Playbook and MatchLab, including their design, prompts, algorithms, scoring models, data structures and published analytics. Ball-by-ball Cricsheet data is licensed under CC BY 3.0. All other data and derived metrics are proprietary.

Your notes, questions, session data and academy configurations belong to you. You grant CricketStudio a limited licence to use anonymised, aggregated usage data to improve the services.

09Disclaimers and liability

The services are provided as is, for analytical and educational purposes, without promises about accuracy, availability or fitness for a particular purpose. To the fullest extent the law allows, CricketStudio's liability for any claim arising from your use is limited to the fees you paid in the three months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages.

10Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Chennai, Tamil Nadu.
