Terms of Service

01Acceptance

By creating an account, enrolling in a plan, or accessing any part of MatchLab, you confirm that you are at least 13 years of age, have read and understood these Terms, and agree to be bound by them. If you are enrolling on behalf of an organisation (academy), you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation.

02The Service

MatchLab provides:

• Ball-by-ball cricket simulation and analysis tools
• Performance analytics, session tracking, and scoring surfaces
• Academy cohort management and seat-based subscription plans
• Access to the CricketStudio data corpus for analytical purposes

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature of the Service at any time with reasonable notice. Material changes to paid features will be communicated at least 14 days in advance.

03Accounts & Access

Access to MatchLab is via email-based one-time codes. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your registered email address. You must not share your access with others outside your enrolled seat allocation.

Academy accounts may allocate seats to individual analysts. Each seat is for one named individual. Seat-sharing or credential-pooling is a material breach of these Terms.

04Subscriptions & Billing

• Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually as selected at enrollment.
• Annual plans are billed in full at the start of each billing year.
• Free trial periods (where offered) convert automatically to paid subscriptions unless cancelled before the trial ends.
• You may cancel your subscription at any time; access continues to the end of the current billing period. No partial refunds for unused time.
• We reserve the right to update pricing with 30 days' notice. Existing subscribers are protected at their current rate for the remainder of their billing cycle.

05Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Scrape, copy, or systematically extract data from MatchLab surfaces
• Use the Service to train, fine-tune, or build competing AI or analytical models without written consent
• Attempt to reverse-engineer or circumvent any part of the platform
• Upload malicious code, spam, or content that violates applicable law
• Impersonate other users, players, or CricketStudio personnel

06Intellectual Property

CricketStudio retains all rights to the MatchLab platform, its algorithms, scoring models, data structures, and published analytics. Ball-by-ball Cricsheet data is licensed under CC BY 3.0; all other data and derived metrics are proprietary.

Your session data, personal notes, and academy-specific configurations belong to you. You grant CricketStudio a limited licence to use anonymised, aggregated usage data to improve the Service.

07Disclaimers

MatchLab is provided "as is" for analytical and educational purposes. It does not constitute coaching advice, medical guidance, or any professional endorsement. Performance data reflects recorded match conditions and is subject to the limitations of the underlying data sources.

08Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, CricketStudio's liability for any claim arising out of your use of MatchLab is limited to the fees paid by you in the three months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

09Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Chennai, Tamil Nadu.
